Hello reader,
I’m Andrew and I’m the interim chair of the Green Party of Will County and I hope you’re doing well.
However, that may not be the case as we live in dark times and evil has a stranglehold of power on our government.
Our daily lives are filled with more struggles than necessary.
Racism. Fascism. Corruption. Capitalism. Gaza.
The climate change catastrophe is here!
We have no time and we must organize.
I don’t have time either but I can’t ignore the suffering. I have a two year old that I’m trying not to ignore as I type this. I work 45 hours a week, plus commuting a short ways and I consider myself one of the lucky ones. Many of my coworkers work two jobs or work extra days to make ends meet.
In many ways I am lucky though. Although my daughter is cute and I love her so much, I can’t ignore our political reality. Our reality is that there is no future if we don’t get our act together.
We have a two party system that limits the spectrum of debate and I’m tired of it!
It’s time to start anew.
Anybody else paying attention to Nepal?
Mexico has built a left coalition too.

Hey, all I’m saying is we have to organize and we need to challenge the power system.
We can do it peacefully, but we’ll need a lot more of you and we’ll need a plan.
The plan, so far, is to organize where we are. Right here. Talk to your neighbors and see what their struggles are. My guess is we have a lot in common with each other. It’s time to stop wondering and to start organizing. The rent is too damn high for all of us! So let’s talk, let’s organize and let’s rise together!
With the recent ICE raids…. Fascism is here and there is no time to waste.
