Fall Cookout - Cook County Green Party

Join the Cook County Green Party for our annual fall cookout!

Meet your fellow Cook County Greens at a relaxed social event with food, Frisbee, and forests. If you've never been to a Green Party event before, this is a great chance to meet the fine folks fighting for change in Cook County.

Food options will include vegetarian dishes. Feel free to bring a small dish or a beverage to share if you'd like. Party starts at 3:00pm, and we'll eat around 4-4:30ish. (Not too strict of a schedule on this one.)

The Maywood Grove picnic shelter is located in the Cook County Forest Preserve, Indian Boundary Division, at the end of Ohio St, in Maywood, IL:,-87.8349531,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x880e353775da3699:0x27c7139c5651382f!8m2!3d41.8902979!4d-87.8327644

Public transit riders can take the Pace 309 or 313 bus to the Lake/1st stop, and then walk one block north on Des Plaines Ave to reach the picnic area.

2017 Illinois Green Party Fall Conference

The Green Party is needed today more than ever. Without the Green Party, the agenda of America’s
corporate overlords and the two parties that serve them will continue unchallenged -- from perpetual
war, to out-of- control police violence, resurgent systemic racism, attacks on education and public
services, poverty, the ravaging of our natural environment – and many other social ills.
