Healthy Lifestyles. Sustainable Parks. Stable Budget.
Holly Scholz is running for Fox Valley Park District (District 3). The April 4th election is in less than 6 weeks! Meet up with Holly and her team at Starbucks (1147 North Eola Road, Aurora, IL) on Sunday February 26th at 12:30pm and then we will head out to let people know about our great candidate. You can canvass or lit drop. It's your choice!
We plan to door knock and lit drop every Sunday until election day.
It takes dough to run a campaign. There are several expenses such as printing campaign literature and ordering yard signs. Please take a pause for the cause and donate whatever you can to Holly's campaign.
Fulton County is turning Green!
Join us Sunday, February 26 for an inaugural meeting of the Fulton County Green Party. We will be meeting at the Hardee's on Main Street in Canton, IL, starting at 7:00pm.
Why a county party? The Green Party is a true grassroots organization, and most decision-making power rests in the hands of the local chapters! County party meetings give members a direct say in what issues the party addresses, what candidates the party runs, and how party funds are spent in their district.
Agenda items for Sunday will include: introductions and icebreaker, affiliation with the state party (ILGP), discussion of local priorities and goals, and a meet-and-greet with state party leaders.
This is a public event, open to anyone with an interest in the Green Party. You do not need to be a current or past member of the Illinois Green Party to attend (although we'll certainly encourage you to sign up while you're there!).
Our annual membership meeting is the Green Party of Chicago's chance to elect officers, approve new bylaws, and discuss strategies for the coming year.
In 2017, it is more important than ever that the Green Party provide another choice for voters -- candidates who will support the values of Peace, Ecology, Social Justice, and Democracy.
The GPC membership meeting is open to all ILGP members with City of Chicago addresses. (Not sure if you're a member? Visit the ILGP "Become a Member" page -- if you've already signed up, it will say "thanks for joining," and if you haven't you can join right there!)
Light refreshments served.
In these trying times with new leadership of the most powerful nation in the world already in the first few weeks taking us in a very dangerous direction, it’s our duty to the 99% to provide a vigorous opposition to the two party tyranny, so…

Also, please consider donating to the Illinois Greens. It takes lots of small individual donations from people like you to cover the expenses required to support candidates and grow the Green Party in Illinois, since as I’m sure you know, we don’t take any big money special interest contributions so we can fight for economic, social, environmental, racial and democratic justice for everyone in Illinois, not just the fat cats.
