2024 Green Presidential Race

The Illinois Green Party is committed to a fair and open Green Party presidential primary. As an unrecognized “New” party (despite our decades long history in the state), the Illinois Green Party is not allowed to participate in the state-run primary election. As such, we hold our own internal Presidential Selection Vote. This vote will be held in the spring of 2024, with details being released in the coming months. 

The other major component of presidential campaigns in Illinois is ballot access. With one of the worst petitioning sprints in the country, we have to collect 25,000 signatures (doubled to 50,000+ to survive challenges) in 90 days. The details of our 2024 Ballot Access Petition Drive will be announced in the future, as the time approaches.
