Every year at the Spring Membership Meeting, the Illinois Green Party presents its Hughes-Houghton Award to an individual who has performed exemplary service in aid of one or more of the Green Party's Ten Key Values:
- Grassroots Democracy
- Social Justice
- Ecological Wisdom
- Community-Based Economics
- Future Focus
This year's award includes a $200 prize given to the recipient's non-profit organization, if they are being honored for their work with a specific organization, or to the organization of their choice if not.
The award will be presented at the ILGP Spring Membership Meeting's fundraiser dinner, held this year in Oak Park, IL on Saturday, March 25th.
If you know of an individual whose work has furthered one or more of the Green Party's Ten Key Values in the past year, please use the form below to submit their name, parent organization (if any), and a brief summary of their most noteworthy achievements.
Include at the bottom your name and contact info so that we can follow up for more information as we consider our nominees. Nominees need not be members of the Green Party, but should be willing to accept their award in person on March 25th.
